Disney Tentative Agreement

We Reached a Tentative Agreement!

To: Disney Cast Members who are members of SEIU-USWW

From: President David Huerta and your elected Bargaining Committee

For the past several months we have been in contract negotiations with Disney, and we are happy to report that we have reached a tentative agreement based on Disney’s final offer. This agreement did not come without a fight. We have had several intense negotiating sessions. We held union rallies at Disneyland, engaging guests and making them understand the issues that Cast Members face. We were planning the Escalation Town Hall for November 17th, where allies including Senators Bernie Sanders and Alex Padilla, Congressman Lou Correa, and Labor Leader Dolores Huerta were confirmed to stand shoulder to shoulder with us.

Many of you may have seen the previous offer that Disney put out asking Cast Members to vote on it by November 8th. The Bargaining Committee was firm in rejecting that offer and organized the Escalation Town Hall. Their actions caused Disney to come back with a significantly better offer.

We will hold the ratification vote at Lincoln Theatre next Wednesday, November 17th. Members can come any time between 4 am and 8 pm to vote. Shop stewards and other union members will be staffing the vote to answer any questions about the agreement and to go over the summary with you before you vote. If you have any questions, please email info@seiu-usww.org.
