USWW Stands for Community.

Security Division

SEIU United Service Workers West is made up of Security officers in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley, San Jose, Sacramento and Security Officers at Kaiser Permanente facilities in all major population centers of California and Hawaii. We have organized together to improve our lives and the lives of our families by negotiating collectively with our employers for the best possible contract.

SEIU-USWW is part of SEIU, the nation’s largest security officers union with 50,000 private security officers united together. We protect property and people in facilities–including high-rise commercial buildings, banks, power plants, airports, warehouses, stadiums and the high-tech industry–all across America.

  • "I was proud that our security contract campaign also took on the problem of discrimination on the job. Discrimination prevents young black people from getting jobs and keeps them from being able to care for their families. Discrimination is destroying our communities."
