Security officer leaders from across Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley came together this week for the first major meeting of our contract campaign, a powerful step toward building the unity we need to win. Officers discussed the reality we face on the job every day: being underpaid, over-exposed, and asked to handle dangerous situations without the respect, training, or compensation we deserve. Just as importantly, leaders talked about our path forward — a campaign strong enough to win significant gains at the bargaining table and push Sacramento to set real standards for our industry.
The message in the room was clear: the only way we win is if every USWW security officer is involved. Leaders committed to turning out their coworkers to upcoming meetings, actions, and worksite events, and to building a campaign that shows our employers and elected leaders that security officers are united and ready to fight for better wages, training, healthcare, and paid time off. This was just the beginning — and with every conversation, every new leader, and every officer who steps forward, we are building the power it will take to win big.
